She averaged 14.9 points a game, 7.1 rebounds a game, 1.3 steals a game, and played an average of 28.3 minutes a game. Carisse is a powerful inside player with a soft touch and a 3-point range. She's a very impressive player and an asset to the team.

Ivy Gardner is a 5' 9'' Guard from Lanham, Maryland. She also is entering the season as a Junior, as her teammate Carisse Moody. Ivy is known for her incredible speed and jumping ability. She is also a great defensive player. Her first start didn't come until the 31st of January, in the '99-'00 season, with 17 minutes of gametime. Last season, she showed off some impressive stats, such as: 1.4 assists, 1.1 steals, 8.1 points, and 23.2 minutes per game on average, along with a .753 free-throw percentage. She chose NC State over Duke, which proved to be a great decision. Her cousin, a Senior last year, attended Howard University, and played on their Women's Ball team as well. Ivy has a very promising future at NC State, not only for her, but for her team also.
